Lance E. Danko, MSM, RHIA, CRA

Administrator, Nuclear Care Partners

President

Lance is well-known to the Augusta market with over 30 years of healthcare leadership experience in a variety of areas including radiology, oncology, home health, palliative care and hospice.  He is a 1992 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management.  In 2009, Lance obtained a master’s degree in Management from Southern Wesleyan University.  Currently, he is the SC/GA Administrator at Nuclear Care Partners, a home health agency dedicated exclusively to caring for our nation's atomic heros.  Lance is also an accomplished author, speaker and teacher.  Both he and his wife, April, co-facilitate a GriefShare ministry at their church.  In his free time, Lance enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with his family, which includes his wife, an adult son, and two dogs.

Jimel Carpenter, MS,CNMT,NCT, RDMS, RT(N)

Director, Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Piedmont Hospital Augusta

Jimel Carpenter is a native of Augusta, Georgia, and has been a part of the local healthcare profession for more than 25 years.  Jimel attended Georgia Institute of Technology and completed both his Nuclear Medicine Technology training and BS in Radiologic Science at The Medical College of Georgia. He later completed an MS degree in Healthcare Management through Troy University. Mr. Carpenter has contributed to a number of scientific publications. He has made presentations and led workshops at local, state, and regional level Nuclear Medicine Technology meetings.  At a national level, Mr. Carpenter served as a member of the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (NMTCB) Board of Directors. Jimel is currently serving on the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Labs (ICANL) Board of Directors, and the Piedmont Augusta Hospital Community Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Lauren Neville

Director of Administrative Services, AU Health Systems, Inc.

Lauren currently serves as Treasurer of CSRA MGMA and has been a member of the organization for 20+ years.  She is employed by AU Health System as Director of Administrative Services in the Human Resources Department for 29 years.  She serves as Treasurer of Hephzibah Baptist Church and loves spending time with her 3 grandchildren (ages 7, 2 and 2 weeks). Her other hobbies include a herd of 16 goats, a donkey and a rooster!

Claire Shivers

Practice Administrator, Oral Surgery of West Augusta

Claire was born and raised in Camilla, GA.  She graduated from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business with a degree in Business Administration.  She has been the Practice Administrator for Oral Surgery of West Augusta (formerly Drs. Peacock and Rafoth, P.C.) for the past 26 years. Claire joined the CSRA MGMA organization in 1996 and has served on the board for over 20 years.  She is also a member of the Georgia Medical Group Management Association, the Society of OMS Administrators, the National and CSRA Chapter of the American Association of Dental Office Management and an Allied Staff Member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She and her husband live in Evans and have three daughters.

Pamela Mazur, CPC

Coding Manager, MCBS

Pamela has over 22 years of experience in the healthcare industry in the areas of Medical Coding and Billing, Coding, and supervising various areas in the medical field; with the last 16 years in Pediatrics at Augusta University.  She has also taught Coding as an Adjunct at Augusta University for 7+ years. Pamela joined MCBS in November of 2021 as the Coding Manager where her responsibilities include recognizing revenue enhancement opportunities by ensuring the accuracy and proper capture of charges. Her passion is continuing to educate herself, the coders, and physicians.  Pamela is a Certified Professional Coder and a member of various professional organizations, the American Academy of Professional Coders, Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) and both a local and state member of the CSRA MGMA/MGMA Association.

Compliance Officer, MCBS

An Augusta native, Lauren joined MCBS in 2020 as the Patient Representative Supervisor and was promoted to Compliance Officer in 2023. She has over 20 years of experience across multiple healthcare specialties. Her areas of responsibility include physician credentialing, provider enrollment, HIPAA and
HITECH compliance, and CMS Quality Payment Program participation. Lauren graduated from Augusta State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She has been a member of the CSRA
Medical Group Management Association since 2023. Lauren enjoys reading good books, going to concerts, attending church, and spending time with her husband, Adam, and their two children, Dale and Josephine.

Connie has served as our past President and has been a part of CSRA MGMA since 2004. Connie graduated from Augusta University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. She is also a member of the GA and National Chapters of MGMA and earned her Certified Medical Practice Executive in 2020. Connie has spent the last 30 years working in health care in different roles from government, private practice, hospital practice to currently managing the community care clinics for Wellstar - Augusta within the CSRA. When not working, Connie enjoys her Georgia Bulldogs and being on the lake or at the beach.
